LIC AAO Recruitment 2025: 841 Vacancies | Notification Out, Apply Online, Check Salary & Syllabus

Before filling out the application form, candidates must carefully check the LIC eligibility criteria 2025. The eligibility conditions regarding education, experience, and age will be calculated as of August 1, 2025.

Educational Qualification

• AAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized Indian University/Institution.
• Assistant Engineer (Civil): B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from an AICTE-recognized institution.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from an AICTE-recognized institution.
• AAO (Chartered Accountant): Bachelor’s Degree along with completion of the Final Examination of ICAI. Candidate must also be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
• AAO (Company Secretary): Bachelor’s Degree and membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
• AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and must have cleared at least 6 papers conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK).
• AAO (Insurance Specialist): Bachelor’s Degree along with a Fellowship from the Insurance Institute of India (Life).
• AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s Degree in Law with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD categories).

Work Experience Requirement

• Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in planning and execution of multi-storey building projects.
• AAO (Insurance Specialist): At least 5 years of professional experience in Life Insurance Companies registered with IRDAI.
• AAO (Legal): Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Advocate or Law Officer in a legal department, after enrollment with the Bar Council.

Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025)

• Minimum Age: 21 years (completed).
• Maximum Age: 30 years (Candidates must be born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2004).
• For AAO (Chartered Accountant/Legal): Maximum age limit is 32 years.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

LIC AAO In-Hand Salary

While the basic pay starts at ₹88,635/-, the in-hand salary is much higher due to various allowances. At the minimum of the scale, the gross monthly salary including House Rent Allowance (HRA) and City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) is around ₹1,26,000/- per month in an ‘A’ Class city.

The LIC AAO recruitment process 2025 is a rigorous, three-stage procedure designed to evaluate a candidate’s aptitude, knowledge, and overall suitability for the role. The selection process consists of Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview.

Phase 1: LIC AAO Preliminary Examination

The Prelims Exam is the first stage of the selection process. It is an online objective test with separate timing for each section. Although the marks obtained in this stage are not counted in the final merit list, candidates must qualify in each section to move forward to the Mains exam.

Phase 2: LIC AAO Main Examination

The LIC AAO Mains Exam is the most crucial stage of the recruitment process. It includes both Objective and Descriptive tests conducted online. Marks from the Objective Test are considered for shortlisting and final merit list, while the Descriptive Test is of qualifying nature only.
